FEDERAL PROJECTS:

Federal Corrections Institution, Berlin, NH:

VR Concrete, Inc. was awarded the Federal Corrections Institution, in Berlin, NH, in October of 2007.  This was a two year Project. This Project included all site engineering, construction, project management, quality control and administrative activities. This 600,000 SF facility will house approximately 1200 inmates in (3) four-story general housing units, and (1) two-story special housing unit. The complex also includes several one story buildings for educational, vocational, health, administrative and food services within a secure compound.

This project also includes a weather corridor that links all buildings within the secured perimeter.

Located outside the secured compound is a Central Shared Facility comprised of a central utility plant, a warehouse, a garage/landscape building, a fueling station, and a hazardous materials building.

In addition, there is a medium security Federal Prison Camp with housing and support facilities for 128 inmates, which is located outside the secure compound.

• The work consisted of repairing or replacing cast in place concrete, windows and doors, siding and roofing, structural framing and waterproofing.  VR Concrete, Inc. was contracted to provide project management, site supervision, subcontractor oversight and self-performance at this project.  
  

Sachem Village, West Lebanon, NH

• This was a multi-phase project consisting of 32 triplex buildings.  We completed 2 triplexes per week.

Treetop Condominiums, Stratton, VT

• Completed 10 triplex mountainside foundations and supporting site concrete over a 16 week span.  These foundations were walkout basements with 12'-20' high retaining walls on the uphill side.
